[Play Unplugged] was a big success. We received lots of positive feedback from parents, businesses, and the kids. People were excited to have a pre-made plan of activities to get their kids out of the house, off the XBOX and out doing something positive. We had many businesses reorder their brag badges because of the high number of students participating. The businesses felt that it not only brought people to their businesses but also helped to build positive relationships with the community. We already have businesses calling and wanting to sign up for the program next summer. We had lots of support from the recreation department and we are working with them to hopefully bring the program back again next summer.

Play Unplugged was a phenomenal program that brought local law enforcement and our local youth together in such a way that a bond has been forged for life. We've tried for many years to create a relationship of trust between our officers and the youth. Play Unplugged was able to accomplish that in ways we could never have imagined.

We couldn't have paid for advertising the Pioneer Museum with the same outcome your Play Unplugged program has done. During May of this year we had 100 visitors. But June saw almost 500! Most of those patrons where school children involved with the Play Unplugged program. The kids seem to have an enjoyable experience at the museum. Many state they are coming back and bringing a parent or sibling. It is heart warming to see kids on Main Street twirling their lanyards and bursting with energy to get another tag. Thanks for helping parents with children out of school for the summer by giving them all kinds of things to do - rather than TV & computer.

What an amazing summer. Our visitor's center has become a 'community center,' locals have familiarized themselves with activities, events and local businesses around the valley that were unknown or not thought of. We had a tremendous amount of positive energy flowing through this office all summer long. I had the opportunity to speak with several families that said they normally would have spent their summer out of town. Thanks to Play Unplugged they stayed in the Heber Valley. Families spent their money at local businesses, ate at our restaurants, enjoyed the performing arts, hiked our trails, picnicked at our parks and most importantly spent time outdoors as a family!

Just had to let you know what a wonderful summer vacation we had this year by incorporating your Play Unplugged program! We spent 12 days up in the Heber/Park City area with cousins and grandparents and decided to join our cousins in collecting tags. We even changed plans to include some of the published activities, and the water balloon fight and chalk drawing were great additions to our family reunion cook out! We had SO much fun! What a beautiful city you have, and we were so impressed with how kind all the business owners were! Thank you for sharing this program with us - it was a highlight of our stay! Now if we could just find a way to move to Heber!!
